Nusheen Hussain will take the spotlight to share her thoughts on 'Redefining Equality, Diversity and Inclusion - Why Actions always speak louder than words' at March's virtual meet-up of 'Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in the North East' .
Nusheen is the Executive Director of Business Development at Home Group with responsibility for strategy, innovation, communications and sustainability. Nusheen is also the Executive lead for their colleague Multicultural group and is part of the “role models” program.
As a British Pakistani and having grown up in the diverse city of London, Nusheen has a very strong sense of culture. Nusheen moved to the North East in 2003 and has pursued a successful 20+ year career in marketing working in a range of industry sectors including publishing, financial services, energy, construction, broadcasting and housing. Nusheen’s career highlight was developing and delivering the outreach program for the BBC’s Digital Switchover Help Scheme.
Nusheen feels passionate about equality and continuing to make positive change in the workplace, with more progressive mindsets and inclusive behaviours and would like to inspire young women - particularly those from under-represented groups - and give them the confidence to shine and progress.
