NRG is partnering with Blacksons, a fast-growing, nationwide network of RICS-qualified professionals, to recruit an Associate Director of Building Surveying. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote working, leadership opportunities, and the security of a permanent contract within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Basic salary of £80,000 - £85,000 per annum

About the Role
As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in shaping the success of Blacksons by driving strategic growth, managing operations, and leading a team of experienced surveyors. You will work closely with the Director to implement business objectives while maintaining a hands-on approach to surveying.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans alongside the Director to support business growth
Oversee day-to-day operations, including budget management and project coordination
Lead, mentor, and support a team of surveyors, ensuring smooth workflow
Delegate tasks based on team members' strengths and development needs
Conduct periodic performance reviews and report to the Director
Undertake personal fee-earning survey work, including:
Expert witness reports
Specific defect inspections
Structural assessments
New build monitoring
Dilapidation services
Schedules of condition
Licence to alter assessments
Party wall matters
What We’re Looking For
MRICS/FRICS qualification
Extensive technical building surveying experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Client-focused with relationship-building and business development experience
Commercially astute with a proactive and solution-driven mindset
Ability to foster relationships with professionals at all levels
Full clean UK driving licence
