About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced People Advisor to join their friendly and supportive People Team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering expert HR advice and support to line managers, ensuring best practices in employee relations and people management.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing guidance to managers and leaders on employee relations processes.
Enhancing managers' capabilities in handling employee relations matters.
Managing sickness absence, offering coaching on adjustments and occupational health.
Monitoring and addressing absence trends, advocating early intervention.
Demonstrating an understanding of local well-being initiatives.
Analysing HR data and producing monthly MI dashboards.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Collaborating with the Partnering Team to understand local business needs.
Leading the development of HR policies and ensuring effective implementation.
Adapting processes to support business needs and create an optimal working environment.
Developing tools and training materials to proactively support managers.
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Contributing to continuous improvement within the People team.
Supporting the delivery of people priorities and key projects.
Providing high-quality support to enhance employee experience.
About You:
Confident and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
Strong experience in employee relations, including complex cases and performance management.
Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
Knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
